Wolf's Cross by brander Wolf's Cross by brander
This is my precious pendant. Have had it for about 15 years and feel naked without it.

Wolf's Cross or Wolfscross, is a design recovered from the Foss, Iceland area and felt to date from about 900 A.D..
The Wolf's Cross is thought to be a cross between a representation the Viking god of thunder, Thor's Hammer and an ancient Christian cross. As such it was a symbol of the power of a warrior king. The Wolf's Cross may have been worn in protest against the Christian conversions.

Ah. This is without a doubt my favourite Cross design, second to the Patriarchal Cross. I like it because it suffuses the best of both worlds - the Pagan and the Catholic. I myself, though on paper, am Catholic, am in reality more of a Gnostic, as my Catholicism is heavily imbued with Germanic mysticism. Anyway. I just wanted to say that I commend your Wolf's Cross, I will soon be getting one like it. Tell me, is yours pewter, or have you made this yourself? All this assuming you are still active on dA, anyway.

Gud vare med dig,

what's wrong with you people.. "i'm against christianity bla bla bla"..well, i know that being against wears a trace of youth rage, gives a dull sense of being above, creating a mystic underground, dark dimensions and some mambo-jambo stuff. but fo fuck sake.. stop manifesting it. why do you do that? makes you feel better? it's pathetic..get yoursefl's a job :D

Did I or anyone above say that any of us are against christianity?

The tiny bit of info I've put in there and shared is what historians got about it ("The Wolf's Cross is thought to be a cross between a representation the Viking god of thunder, Thor's Hammer and an ancient Christian cross").

If you happen to know more about this pendant then please feel free to share but don't trash talk others until you got some ground to stand on.

am just wondering what the real meaning is about the pendant. I have read diferent kinds of meaning about this pendant, they say that Pagan and Christian weared this pendant. So am confused, my boyfriend is against christianity and is also confused about the diferent meanings about that pendant. So if you could explain who weared that pendant and what the real meaning is about the pendant.

I would love to find out myself and all I know so far is what I've put into "Artist's comments". Maybe that's why I love it so much.. the mystery behind it :) But I still wanna find out more about it ;)
